Beginning with humble beginnings of a small accounting institute in the year 1906 Pace University has since increased its size exponentially. The school is now comprised of six colleges and six schools that are spread across three campuses located situated in New York City and Westchester County and is home to over 8,700 undergraduates. The distinctive Pace Path curriculum leans heavily on the experiential learning model and the school boasts one of the biggest career-related courses that exist in the New York City metropolitan area with a total of 8000 students in internships co-ops, field jobs, and clinicals every year. “It is the best place to really amp up your career before you even get into it,” says one of the students. The faculty members “host meet and greets for their respective departments and events with guest speakers from different companies or speakers for relative topics,” and there are many “opportunities to network and expand our careers through the resources [Pace] gives us.”
As opposed to “just lecturing,” students explain that teachers “grab the students’ attention” by “open[ing] the floor to students.” The professors “use a pleasant blend of lecture with anecdotal tales that help [students] get accustomed to the conceptual side of the material,” and most “are professionals in the field or greatly knowledgeable about it,” which is the reason they can “even in the most mundane classes, I still learn something new.” They offer “great options for classes that can cater one’s schedule to any days and times they’d like,” and also innovative teaching methods like “a reverse classroom where you take notes and read for homework and then do examples in class.” The school additionally “utilizes technology to their advantage when lecturing students,” which allows for more advanced knowledge and comprehension of subjects.” The institution itself “listens to what the students want and try their best to fulfill it in the best way possible,” and is “always looking for ways to improve our experience here at Pace.”
Student Body

Campus Life
The benefits of “Starbucks included on the meal plan [and] flex dollars for local restaurants” are major benefits of living in the city at Pace. New York City, where “you cannot get bored,” is a major part in the student life particularly when Pace offers “tickets to awesome events around NYC, like the late night shows,” as and shuttles to facilitate the ability to enjoy a night to the bars. Even though “most of the fun is outside of college,” Pace does not cut corners when it comes to its “campus events like therapy dogs and wellness week,” “pumpkin smash in the fall and bubble soccer games in the spring,” and “a multitude of clubs and campus wide activities to appeal to almost every interest.” According to people in the are aware of, “it’s up to the individual on how active or inactive they want their lifestyle to be,” and according to the reports the majority “have full time jobs or internships.”

With two campuses, Pace University offers its students two distinct college experiences. On the campus’ New York City campus, students learn and live in the hustle and bustle in New York’s Financial District. Around 30 miles further away, the students live in a suburban setting at the campus’s Westchester campus located in Pleasantville, New York. Students have housing on campus in both campuses, but most students prefer to commute to. Each campus offers its own variety of student-run organizations, such as sororities and fraternities.
Pace University Admissions
Pace University admissions is selective with an acceptance rate of 88% and an earlier accept rate of 94 percent. Half of the applicants accepted into Pace University have an SAT score of between 1120 and 1310 and an ACT score between 23 and 28. However, a quarter of applicants admitted to the university scored higher than these ranges, and one quarter had scores below the ranges. The deadline for applications is February. 15th. The application fee for Pace University is $50.
