Measure for Verbal Reasoning
GRE Verbal Reasoning Measure: The GRE Verbal Reasoning measure assesses the ability of students to:
- Analyze and draw conclusions from the discourse and reasoning from data that is not complete to determine the author’s assumptions or perspectives; recognize different levels of meaning, including the literal, the figurative, and author’s intentions
- Select the important parts; differentiate important from less significant or pertinent elements and summarize the text. Also, you must understand the structure of the text
- Learn the meanings of sentences, words and texts in their entirety; recognize the relationship between words and concepts
Quantitative Reasoning measure
GRE Quantitative Reasoning Measure assesses the capacity to:
- know the meaning of the importance of quantitative information
- Interpret and analyze quantitative data
- solve problems by using mathematical models
- employ basic mathematical concepts and fundamental mathematical concepts such as geometry, algebra, arithmetic and analysis of data
Analytical Writing Measure
It is the GRE Analytical Writing measure assesses analytical thinking and critical thinking skills, as well as abilities to
- explain and defend complex ideas using relevant arguments and examples
- Review the claims and any supporting evidence
