Raw Score of ACT in comparison to Scale Score
This is how ACT scoring is done. The test gives you a point every correct answer you score (there’s zero penalty nor deducting points for incorrect answers). The raw score you receive for each test is transformed into the scale score (1-36).

What do you score scoring on the ACT Writing Test scored?
The score on the writing test is a bit more complicated. If you choose to take the ACT Plus Writing (which will require you to compose an essay) Your essay will be judged by two different people.
